A famous local landmark and facility, very much part of the coastal scene. High tide, with large vessels leaving Royal Portbury Dock and heading down the Bristol Channel. Many more people used to swim in the estuary waters than do now. It is a bit strange to see the contrast between the waters. Denny Island in view, again, and Battery Point with its light.
